ting as others and unless you're in a totally silent room (which I'm not) I found original pads created bit of an underwater / muffle echo effect. This was quite annoying and stropped me from using them frequently. With these Valure pads little more of the outside is let in and that underwater muffled background noise is gone with external noises sounding more natural. Now I use the HD820 all the time.
