Perlisten Audio isn’t just a stereophile company, our products have many use cases including cinema and immersive audio systems. As such, we have an enormous appeal to Integrators who design and engineer next-level systems that yield the ultimate experiences. Those projects require specialized products, ones that can be hidden within walls or behind fabric.

These products don’t need a pristine exterior finish as they aren’t meant to be seen. Instead, they need to be installer-friendly and perform! The R18is is one of those performers.

This subwoofer can output prodigious amounts of bass and can reach the sub-sonic ranges (below 20Hz) to reveal information you never knew was there, all while remaining hidden. The R18is comes with a 1,500 kW external amplifier that can be placed on an equipment stand or mounted into a 19″ (403mm) rack.

R-Series subs – Trickle down technology from our flagship D-Series, we’ve developed a lineup of single-driver-based subwoofers. Ground up drivers created by our team of engineers. Glass fiber composite diaphragms, multiple aluminum shorting rings, massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spiders and lightweight aluminum voice coil wire are the key ingredients – Proprietary nonlinear modeling techniques allow us to simulate all these components and then optimize for real world driver performance – free air and in box.

Further refinement is performed with the aid of our Klippel laser measurement system to fine-tune the settings. Powered by our new 1.5 kW amplifier, all functions and safety features are controlled by a 48-bit data bath DSP and a 32-bit ARM M4 Cortex processor, capable of reacting in microseconds to ensure sonic accuracy.
