To inherit the core of the flagship's captivating sound without a lacquer finish, it utilizes carefully selected solid acacia wood, creating a new standard model of premium headphones.
Solid Natural Acacia Wood Housing
Each TH818 is unique and will have variations in wood grain, texture, color, and knots, but this will not affect the sound quality in any way.
The TH818 housing uses solid acacia wood, carefully selected from various woods, to achieve the same exquisite tone as the solid hard maple wood housing finished with traditional lacquer work used in the TH910/TH919 housings, but without the application of lacquer work.
Acacia wood, which is used in guitars and ukuleles due to its attractive sound, allows you to enjoy the solid, deep bass range and clear, extended treble range inherited from the TH910/TH919.
The open-type TH818 uses matte anodized aluminum material with a geometric pattern motif of kumiko (traditional Japanese woodworking) for the housing opening.
The precise two-layer structure with laser-cut mesh processing and meticulous adjustment of the opening ratio and each internal part reproduces a natural sound field with high resolution that is suitable for open-type headphones and is easy on the ears.

Newly Developed 50mm BioDyna Driver
The BioDyna driver, which has received high praise for its high resolution and extremely smooth sound quality, has been significantly improved. By improving amplitude stability with a newly developed edge, it enables tight and controlled expression without excessive bass bloat.
Furthermore, by suppressing unwanted resonance, it eliminates muddiness caused by extraneous sounds and achieves a natural and smooth midrange. You can enjoy a high-density, clear, and smooth sound quality that captures all the musical information, from tight bass with volume and depth, to transparent and clear midrange and lustrous treble.
Lightweight Magnesium Alloy Mechanical Components
Mechanical components such as the housing's base plate and hanger are made of magnesium alloy, resulting in a 20% weight reduction compared to aluminum. In addition, rubber gaskets are used in the rotating mechanism to minimize unwanted vibrations. Improvements have been made through a design philosophy that pays attention to the details of each component, further enhancing the user experience.
Newly Shaped Earpads
The newly shaped ear pads have a slanted shape that touches the face to optimize the fit. The internal low-rebound urethane has a two-layer structure, with a softer type on the outside and a highly elastic type on the inside to fit the shape of the face. In addition, the use of silk protein synthetic leather that is three times more durable than conventional models ensures a comfortable fit even during long listening sessions.

The head pad and headband are made of natural sheepskin, providing a supple and comfortable fit, and you can enjoy the changing texture as you use it over time.
